I always love it when past clients or people that I know refer new clients to me. It makes me feel like I have made an impression somehow in what I have done. Amber and Zach are one of those couples that were referred to me. Amber happens to be a teacher at a school that I previously taught at and the staff there are so wonderful. Several of them referred her to me and I was so happy to get to photograph their wedding.

Amber and Zach chose to get married at Carrollock Farms in Fuquay Varina, which at the time was still in the finishing phases of the building process, and they would be the first wedding to kick off this new venue. I met Amber and Zach at their location a few months before the their actual wedding and it was absolutely stunning. A big red barn, beautiful string lights, a pond and a flowing river, made for a beautiful venue, but the owners, Mr. and Mrs. Lockamy, weren't done yet. By the time the wedding came around, they had put some final touches on building a deck over looking the pond, adding beautifully stained benches on the terraced property, a fire pit and more.

The wedding took place on May 28th, Memorial Day weekend, which is a big weekend in Fuquay Varina the last few years, as hosts to the hot air balloon festival. We held out hope that we would get to witness one of the balloons fly over during the reception, as they had the night before, but we weren't so lucky. Regardless, I am so happy that I got to photograph at this brand new location for a beautiful couple.

I wish them a lifetime of laughter and happiness, always being inspired by the wonderful families that surround them.

Thank you Zach and Amber for letting me take part in your special day!
